Masood Khan
Our Chair for 2012
South Asian Canada Day is a brain child of Masood Khan
who is our Chair this year, Masood has many events like this
to his credit. Founder of Talent Search International discovered
over
300 Singers and over 100 Dancers of South Asian Community through his sold out
Singing Competitions.
Masood with his wife Alia, owns the first and the oldest Urdu language newspaper
Eastern Newsand the first South Asian women interest newsmagazine
Shama since 1979. Chair
of an Ethnic Media Association is the founder of Pakistan
Independence Day Parade in the 80’s.
Masood has earned over 100 Awards for his volunteer work
since 1976, his work has been recognized by the Prime Minister,the
Premier of
Ontario, Ontario Ministry of Citizenship
City of Mississauga and Brampton and many other organizations.
City of Mississauga has honoured him with a street
name ( Khan
Crescent ) and
her majesty the Queen honoured him with her Golden
Jubilee Medal. He won the prestigious award of
International Volunteer and Civic Service Award of Toronto Real Estate Board.

Sukhi is in-charge of our Security plan for the entire event, he has been a great

Max Mendes
A very successful businessman, real estate investor and developer has an eye
for Arts and Culture. He has a passion to promote performers all over town. His
inclusion in our committee is an assets for all of us. |

Samina Ahmed
Director
Samina Ahmed is an international Radio and TV personality.
She has years of Radio talk show experience in Canada and in Kuwait. Her TV show Aadab on OMNI TV and Ghar Angan Radio show are talk of the town. She has many
sold out cultural shows to her credit. |

Director Honours and Awards
Dr. Anne Dhir is a celeb of South Asian Community whoes movies
were talk of the town few years ago. A dedicated volunteer
is now serving the committee as Director of Honours and Awards. |

Zeshan Khan
Our Director
President of Talent Search International is an accountant
by trade but has passion to Volunteer and serve the community.
A celebrated fund raiser in the community has Raised funds
for Tsunami, South Asian Earthquake, Haiti Earthquake and
St. John Ambulance.
Zeshan’s community volunteer work has been recognized
by the Premier of Ontario and other community organizations.
He has served our committee in various capacities and will
take care of our finances this year. |

Harminder's addition to our Board is a welcoming news for all of us,
she has a rich background in organizing cultural shows and she has
taken
the responsibility for entertianment with our Board.
